This page sets out who publishes The Silvered Pane, where the site is hosted, and how the small amount of data the site handles is treated. It is written in plain terms so that a reader can see exactly what is and is not collected.

Publisher

The Silvered Pane is an independent editorial publication. It is published under the editorial name The Silvered Pane and edited by its editorial team. The magazine is not the official site of any company, workshop, museum, dealer or association, and it represents no organisation other than itself. Hosting

The site is a static publication served through a content delivery network. Pages are generated in advance and delivered as files, so there is no application database behind the articles and no user accounts. The hosting provider processes standard technical information, such as the IP address of a visitor and the pages requested, in order to deliver the site and to protect it from abuse.

Data and privacy

The site does not ask you to register, does not set advertising cookies and does not build a profile of visitors. If you write to the editorial email address, the message and your email address are kept only for as long as they are needed to answer you and to record any correction that follows. You can ask for your message to be deleted once the matter is closed.

Content and rights

The text and the illustrations on this site were produced for The Silvered Pane. You are welcome to quote a passage with a credit and a link to the page. Reproducing a whole article, or reusing the illustrations as if they were your own, is not permitted. External sources named in the articles remain the property of their publishers and are linked rather than copied.

A link is provided because it is useful, not because the publisher of this magazine has any commercial relationship with the site concerned.
